Hello, my name is Evan
I first held a camera at the age of 15. In the summer of 1977 as not to get bored over summer, I took a summer school class at Ulysses S. Grant High School in Van Nuys, CA., before going into the 10th grade. I instantly fell in love and have never wanted to anything else.
I officially started Evan Guston photography January 1 of 1990, by June of the same year I was so busy I could no longer work out of my home and had to move into a studio on Ventura Boulevard in Tarzana, CA.
Why are you here?

Staying Creative . . .
THERE ARE SEVERAL DIFFERENT COMPONENTS TO CREATIVITY. IMAGINATION, TECHNICAL ABILITY, AND THE SUBJECT. . .
It’s sort of like what came first the chicken or the egg? My process changes depending on the idea, technical aspect or model. Sometimes it’s the idea followed by the other two, sometimes it’s a technical approach followed by the others and of course, it could be the model that is the inspiration. There is however, one more, I may have a location in mind!
